Born and raised in New York, I have lived UWS for almost 15 years, now residing in Long Island city. I also have lived years on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. My interest in photography began after exploring Costa Rica over 20 years ago. Soon after I attended the School of Visual Arts. I am a 2010 graduate of The International Center of Photography, Journalism program in New York, where I was the recipient of the directors fellowship as well as the Rita K. Hillman foundation fellowship. My work has been published in publication such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNN, American Photography and the Luicie foundation. Working on assignments and projects over the years has taught me how to read a situation before it unfolds. For me, I feel it’s super important in photographing any event, especially mitzvahs as things are happening very quickly.
As a visual story teller with a positive, easy going, yet high energy approach, establishing a connection with my client and family members is the utmost main focus for creating an intuitive edit of meaningful, vibrant photographs that captures the essence of your event.
Using a combination of formal portraits, documentary style candids, an eye for details, a mixture of studio lighting combined with natural available light & working with professional canon equipment, along with over a decade of experience photographing Bar/Bat Mitzvahs in NYC and the greater NY area.
All images on this website are photographed by me. Aloha 🌴
